Northern Light
1969 Camaro SS · Frame-Off Restoration
The Story
Two Years. Every Bolt.
NORTHERN LIGHT came to us as a tired, numbers-matching 1969 Camaro SS that had spent decades waiting for someone to do it right. Its owner didn't want a quick repaint — he wanted the car his father ordered new, back to the day it left the dealership.
Over two years we took it down to the bare frame. Every panel came off, every fastener was catalogued, and every decision was checked against factory documentation. The body was stripped to steel, corrected, and refinished in factory-correct Cortez Silver over a black interior — exactly as it appeared on the original build sheet.
Underneath, the running gear was rebuilt to match: the 396 big-block was gone through end to end, the 4-speed refreshed, and the suspension and brakes returned to better-than-new. The result is a car that doesn't just look 1969 — it drives it.
