Yellowjacket

1966 Chevy C10 · Resto-Mod Build

YELLOWJACKET — wasp-yellow 1966 Chevy C10 resto-mod with blacked-out trim and gloss-black wheels

The Story

Black & Yellow. All Business.

YELLOWJACKET started as a working truck — a 1966 Chevy C10 that had hauled firewood, boats, and everything in between across Grand Traverse County for the better part of sixty years. Its owner loved the lines but wanted a truck with a sting in it.

We kept every crease of the classic C10 body, straightened and gapped it tighter than the factory ever did, then laid down a gloss wasp-yellow finish cut by a blacked-out beltline stripe, murdered-out grille and bumpers, and gloss-black mesh wheels. Park it anywhere and watch people circle it.

A modern LS V8 sits where the tired small-block used to be, riding on a fully updated suspension with a modern drop that plants the truck on the road. Inside it still reads 1966 — but the AC blows cold and the audio is anything but vintage. The best of both eras, wearing the boldest two colors there are.
